'Fairly Legal' - Edit - Editing Workshop 18/11/20

This was the edit I made called 'Fairly Legal' which was all about a litigator wanting more time on an assignment. There was a lot of new shortcuts that I learnt that I can use when editing in the future on Adobe Premiere Pro. These were:

  • The overwrite tool (the keyboard shortcut being the period key (.)) helps paste clips into the timeline more sufficiently where your clip is selected.
  • The slip tool (the keyboard shortcut being the 'Y' key) slips the clips in and out point, however it doesn't move it on the timeline. This also previews the in and out points on the monitor along with the tool.
  • The slide tool (the keyboard shortcut being the 'U' key) slides the clip on the timeline to a different place on it but it keeps the in and out points the same. This tool can also close gaps in footage too.
