'Atonement' - Camera and Editing Workshop 20/11/20

In this video, we were given an excerpt from a film on a script and we had to film it with props for the first time. This was really fun as it gave the story a bit more of a realistic feeling. I took the job as director for this video, which I really enjoyed as I think I have a very directorial personality and I had a clear vision as to where I wanted this video to go. In the film, Robbie and Cecelia want to get in a relationship but they are both from different families that live in a capitalist society. The girl lives in a high-medium class family and the guy is a working class man. Since they is only one male in our group and the rest of us are female we decided that 'Robbie' was going to be a female instead. If I could change something if we had more time to film I would get more shots without the 'Yorkshire Tea' box in the background as that could easily get our video copyright striked by YouTube. Another thing I would change with the footage is that I would make sure that all of the footage taken would be steadied by a tripod to avoid shaky footage which is what appears in the final cut with the close ups of Robbie and Cecelia.
